Testimonials:

Peter Ntephe

Houston, Texas

It is a credible conference on the backroom business of soccer. A rich array of diverse specialists – scouts, coaches, administrators, ex-players, agents, etc – are the speakers. You will hardly attend any other soccer conference with this quality and diversity of speaking faculty as well as immense networking opportunities.

Christopher Cohen

Lynn University

The football career conference was a wonderful experience for my professional development. Between networking with established names in the industry and fellow aspiring professionals, you could meet someone different seemingly every minute.

Gunner Linhart

Southern Methodist University

This conference was an amazing opportunity to network with professionals and learn their stories on how they established themselves. Great opportunity if you take advantage of meeting these professionals.

Charles Shepherd

The College of Idaho

Clarity. That is the word I would like to describe what I got from the conference. I knew what the path looks like - whether good or bad. There is no more wondering - I know what it takes and what is expected of me. And of course, I made many new friends and connections that I can’t wait to follow up on.

John Mayes

Gulf Breeze, Florida

This is a fantastic conference covering a lot of different subjects. The speakers were experienced and very knowledgeable about the subject they discussed. I will be back next year and I will be attending other SMWW conferences in the future!

Ed Fagan

New Jersey

SMWW is an opportunity to "jump into" a network of professionals in all aspects of the business of baseball. Having the conference at the same time as the Winter Meetings is also invaluable. Whether young or old, this is an awesome opportunity to get a solid understanding of all aspects of baseball.

New York Liberty (WNBA) Head Analytics Coordinator

Getting a job in pro basketball is all about separating yourself from the hundreds of other applicants and NetScouts/SMWW do just that. There's no substitute for being in arenas, seeing players in-person and learning what it means to be a scout on the fly. Building your skillset through courses then applying what you've learned to live game action is invaluable experience. NetScouts/SMWW had a huge role in molding me into a basketball operations professional and I use what I learned during my time in the apprenticeship program to this day.
